Modular Material Exploration
Throughout my degree I explored other materials, their processes and how to bind them together. The work demonstrates my technical skills and 3D design outlook on materiality. Combining resin with jesmonite, and capturing acrylic in-between. All the pieces are changeable creating a modular system and forever changing combinations. The work displays elements of play and tactility. This was an important module at UNI, derived from my dissertation which led me to focus on plastic off-cut waste. I felt this was the best source of material that supports circular economy and sustainability. Working with a variety of materials thoroughly improved my technical skills and material knowledge which I have applied to all sorts of work.
